Dr. Bilal is a core faculty member
and the Sub Specialty Education Coordinator of Interventional Radiology for Northwell Health Mather Hospital. Dr. Bilal earned his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine and completed a transitional-year internship at MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham, MA. He completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Long Island Jewish Medical Center where he served as junior and senior Chief Resident. He concluded his training with a fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in 2004. Dr. Bilal has been a medical staff member at Mather Hospital since 2004 and is currently the Medical Director of Vascular and Interventional Radiology. Dr. Bilal is also the Program Director for the Integrated Interventional Radiology Residency Program at Mather Hospital, since its inception in 2017. He is a core member of the Committee for Promoting Physician Excellence and has been involved in Medical Staff Leadership at the hospital since 2015, most recently as the President of the Medical Staff at Mather Hospital.
Dr. Bilal specializes in all aspects of Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology, with particular expertise in Oncologic Interventions, Women’s Health, and Spine Intervention. Personally, he shares that he is a huge Batman fan, and in that mirrored capacity, as a highly skilled individual and through dedicated training, wishes to be a hero to all his patients. “I wish to provide them the best patient experience and make a meaningful impact in their health care.” Dr. Bilal, finds being a caregiver as an Interventional Radiologist highly rewarding, allowing him to be innovative and compassionate. He enjoys local and global traveling, watching movies, and trying new foods.

Dr. Dayan specializes in a wide array of cutting-edge, minimally invasive procedures designed to treat complex conditions with precision and reduced patient recovery times. He skillfully performs interventions for liver cancers, deep vein thrombosis, internal hemorrhoids, enlarged prostates, uterine fibroids, and spine fractures. These advanced techniques rely on sophisticated, real-time medical imaging to accurately target treatment areas through tiny, millimeter-sized incisions.
Dr. Dayan is deeply committed to shaping the next generation of medical professionals. He serves as a core faculty member in Mather’s highly regarded Graduate Medical Education Radiology Residency Program and holds the title of Assistant Clinical Professor in Radiology at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell.
His extensive medical journey began with an accelerated BA-MD program at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, OH. He further honed his expertise through an internship in General Surgery and a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Jersey. Dr. Dayan then pursued a prestigious fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at the renowned New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical College and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City before bringing his talents to Mather Hospital.
Further demonstrating his comprehensive understanding of healthcare, Dr. Dayan also holds an MBA in Technology Commercialization, with a keen interest in healthcare operations and analytics. His clinical expertise spans all aspects of diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, and interventional oncology. Committed to advancing the field, his research interests focus on quality assurance, the application of Lean Six Sigma methodologies for performance improvement, medical finance, and device development.
Dr. Santoro is a core faculty member in Interventional Radiology at Mather Hospital. He earned his medical degree at the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2018 and completed a transitional-year internship at Northwell Health Plainview Hospital in 2019. He then completed an Integrated Interventional Radiology and Diagnostic Radiology residency at Northwell Health Mather Hospital, serving as Chief Resident in his final year.
Dr. Santoro specializes in all aspects of interventional radiology and diagnostic radiology. He performs a wide variety of procedures and has a particular interest and expertise in interventional pain management, back and spine intervention, interventional oncology, arterial embolization, biliary intervention, venous disease, and women’s health. Dr. Santoro is dedicated to serving his community by performing precise diagnostic and therapeutic minimally invasive image-guided procedures that promote patient healing with minimal recovery time.
Outside of life as an interventional radiologist, Dr. Santoro enjoys spending time with family, traveling, fishing, gardening, and skiing.
