- Conditions Treated: Vertebral Compression Fractures
- Reason for Procedure: To stabilize vertebral fractures, speed up healing time, provide pain relief, and allow patients to return to their normal activities.
- How It’s Performed: An Interventional Radiologist will place small needles into your fractured vertebra using X-ray guidance. A space will be created inside your bone using a drill and balloon. Bone cement will then be injected to stabilize the fracture and provide pain relief.
- Anesthesia: Conscious Sedation, General Anesthesia
