Mather Hospital appreciates our employees’ commitment to excellence and loyalty to our hospital family. We have a number of programs in place to recognize our outstanding employees.

Service Excellence Awards: Each month, Service Excellence Awards are given to employees who have been cited by patients for their exceptional service. The awards are presented at a breakfast in the Hospital and a group photo of the honorees is displayed in the employee cafeteria.

The WAVE Program: Coordinated by the Employee Engagement team and designed for employees, volunteers and leaders, this program awards a WAVE certificate to those who go above and beyond. Employees who receive a certain number of WAVE certificates are eligible for special prizes.

Annual Service Award Dinner: Each year, Mather invites employees who have marked a significant anniversary of continuous service to a dinner reception.  The years of continuous service that are honored are in multiples of five.

Bright Ideas: The Bright Ideas program encourages and rewards employees who submit ideas that will benefit the Hospital by saving time, reducing cost or promoting safety.

Voyage to Excellence Champions: Voyage to Excellence Champions are team members who reflect the standards of our Voyage to Excellence. There is one or more champions named from each team. Champions are nominated by fellow team members and honored at an awards breakfast. Each team has its own criteria for nominating a champion. Congratulations to our Voyage to Excellence champions for 2020 and 2021.
