Duties:
Assist surgeons in all phases of the surgical patient encounter including consult initiation in the ED, Pre & Post – op assessments and patient management. First Assist for assigned cases including robotic procedures. Experience with procedures associated with surgical care, such as chest tubes, wound care dressings, venous and arterial access.
Qualifications:
NYS license & registration as PA or Acute Care NP. National Certification as an PA or NP; NP with First Assist credential. 2 years experience in surgery or a related setting. DEA/BLS/ACLS/PALS required.
