At Mather Hospital, our Internal Medicine Residency provides residents with the opportunity to extend their training through global health initiatives. We are proud to partner with Sights on Health, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that deploys volunteer healthcare professionals from across the U.S. to provide compassionate, quality care to communities with limited medical access.
This past year, our Global Health Elective enabled two residents to join a medical mission in Ecuador. Supported by our program and Sights on Health, they delivered vital care to over 100 patients in rural communities, addressing both acute and chronic medical needs.
We remain steadfast in our commitment to global health. By continuing to work with Sights on Health and Northwell Health’s Center for Global Health, we will create and support more of these life-changing experiences for our residents.
