• Case conference– Interactive and educational presentations once to twice per month by fellows on interesting, challenging or unusual cases with emphasis on board relevant topics and foundational curriculum-based knowledge in Gastroenterology with supervision by PD, APD and attending faculty.

 

  • M&M– Quarterly Multidisciplinary conference on complex cases to identify areas of improvement in medical decision-making and promote professional growth.

 

  • Journal Club – Monthly presentation by fellows on new/important research publications in the field of Gastroenterology selected from the major GI journals.

 

  • Radiology Conference– Monthly Interactive, educational case presentations by radiology attendings and gastroenterology fellows on interesting cases with significant imaging findings with emphasis on strengthening interpretation of imaging studies relevant to Gastroenterology. Supervised by a radiologist.

 

  • IBD conference – Monthly, Northwell Eastern Region Multidisciplinary conference involving colorectal surgeons, radiologists, Gastroenterologists and trainees on interesting, educational, or challenging cases in the field of inflammatory bowel disease in which multidisciplinary medical decision-making and management is discussed on complex cases.

 

  • Board review – Interactive monthly conference for dedicated board question review and board review content led by fellows under the direction of the Assistant Program Director and Program Director.

 

  • Hepatology Journal Club – Monthly conference from the Sandra Bass Atlas Center for liver disease, Northwell health, with presentation by GI fellows from different Northwell fellowship sites, on groundbreaking new research publications in the field of hepatology, mentored by a Northwell Hepatologist.

 

  • Hepatology Grand Rounds and Pathology conference: Monthly conference from the Sandra Bass Atlas Center for liver disease, Northwell health, with presentations by experts in the field.

 

  • Research meetings – Monthly meeting with PD, APD and Research faculty during which fellows share updates on their current research projects and publications. It is also a forum for exploring new ideas for research.
