A program to help patients with breast cancer cope with their diagnosis, treatment and recovery, pairing a breast cancer survivor with a recently diagnosed patient. American Cancer Society (ACS) volunteers are specially trained to help the patient express feelings and verbalize fears and concerns. Strength For Life provides free exercise classes for cancer patients utilizing resistance bands, stability balls and floor work. Classes for those looking for a way to relieve stress and anxiety, ease pain, practice mindfulness and promote overall wellness. Offered through Mather’s Back & Neck Pain Center and Gentle Strength Yoga Studio. Classes will be offered on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6pm in the LIAP Conference Center, Room B.
