Michael Peterson MDMichael Petersen, MD is a board-certified vascular and general surgeon, and a certified wound care specialist. With the Mather Wound Treatment Center since 2003, he was named Medical Director in 2008.

Dr. Petersen received his medical degree from the Baylor School of Medicine. He completed his residency in general surgery at Stony Brook University and a residency in vascular surgery at Harvard University/Massachusetts General Hospital.

His professional memberships include: American Medical Association, Fellow of American College of Surgeons, Society for Vascular Surgery, Wound Healing Society, Medical Society of the State of New York and Suffolk County Medical Society.

Gerard Furst, DPMGerard Furst, DPM  is certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and a certified wound care specialist with more than 30 years experience. He is the Chief of Podiatry at Mather Hospital. He received his degree in podiatric medicine from Temple University. Dr. Furst is a Fellow of the American College of Foot Surgeons, Suffolk Academy of Medicine, Association of Hospital Podiatrists and the American Professional Wound Care Associates. He is also active with the American Podiatric Medical Association as well as the Suffolk County Podiatric Medical Association.

Kenneth Kneessy, MDKenneth Kneessy, MD is a board-certified plastic surgeon. He received his medical degree at SUNY Buffalo. He completed his general surgical residency at New York Hospital and plastic surgical fellowship at Temple University, PA. He is a clinical assistant professor in the department of surgery at Stony Brook University.

Mei Liu is a wound care nurse practitioner.  She received her BS in Nursing from Herbet H. Lehman College and her Master of Science in Pharmacotherapeutics from St. John’s University, both in NYC.  She also earned another master degree in nursing from Stony Brook University to become a Nurse Practitioner.  She received her wound, ostomy and continence training from Emory University in 2013.

Robert Prichep, MDRobert Prichep, MD is a board-certified surgeon specializing in general and vascular surgery. He received his medical degree at Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara Facultad de Medicina.

Pedro Roque, MDPedro Roque, MD specializes in internal medicine. He received his medical degree from Universidad Privada San Juan Bautista, Facultad De Medicina, Puerto Rico. Dr. Roque completed his residency at Lincoln Medical Center, Bronx, NY and renal fellowship at Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center, NY.

Mark Shapiro, MDMark Shapiro, MD is a board-certified physician specializing in family medicine. He received his medical degree at the University Of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine and completed his residency at Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center.

Hillard Warm, MDHillard Warm, MD is a board-certified plastic surgeon and Chief of Plastic Surgery at Mather Hospital. Dr. Warm attended the University Autonoma of Guadalajara and completed a fifth pathway program at the State University of New York at Buffalo Medical School where he was granted an M.D. degree from the State of New York. He completed his general surgery residency at Millard Fillmore Hospital in Buffalo, NY, and a plastic surgery residency at the Medical University of South Carolina.
