Kevin currently serves as President of Mather Hospital, a 249-bed community hospital located in Port Jefferson. Mr. McGeachy is responsible for developing and advancing the strategic priorities of the hospital, including overseeing the development of a $90M master plan for the campus, which includes a new cardiac catheterization lab, state-of-the-art emergency department, and expansion of surgical services capacity. In his 23 years at Northwell, Kevin has assumed progressively responsible roles in a wide variety of settings. Before joining Mather Hospital, Mr. McGeachy served as the senior vice president of strategic alliances for Northwell Health, where he helped explore new strategic alliances, affiliations, and partnerships with other local and national healthcare providers. Mr. McGeachy and his team led the development of a clinical affiliation agreement with Nuvance Health, based out of Danbury, CT.

Previously, Mr. McGeachy established Cohen Children’s Medical Center as the premier children’s hospital in the New York metro area. As deputy executive director and then executive director of Cohen and its satellite facilities. He managed the development of a $140 million expansion project that included a dedicated pediatric emergency room, pediatric perioperative suite, 25-bed intensive care unit, and 25-bed medical/surgical unit. Additionally, he was instrumental in leading the development of key programs at Cohen Children’s, including pediatric kidney transplant and pediatric trauma.

Kevin also served as associate executive director at Long Island Jewish Forest Hills, LIJ Medical Center, and North Shore University Hospital, where he was responsible for a variety of clinical and ancillary support departments and major facility construction projects.

Kevin is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He received an MBA from Baruch College/Mount Sinai School of Medicine and a bachelor’s from the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University program in health administration.
