Advanced treatment for prostate cancer using CyberKnife technology will be the topic of a free evening seminar hosted by the Us TOO Prostate Cancer Support Group on Wednesday, September 7, 2016 from 6-8 pm at the Patchogue-Medford Library in Patchogue. A light dinner will be served.

CyberKnife uses multiple beams of high-dose radiation that converge on the cancer with pinpoint accuracy, avoiding healthy tissue and organs. The treatments are painless and require no anesthesia, no cutting and no hospitalization.
Presented by Precision CyberKnife of New York, the seminar will be led by Michael Bernstein, MD, Radiation Oncologist at North Shore Hematology Oncology Associates (NSHOA), and Michael Burghardt, Assistant Vice President, Mather Imaging Services. Precision CyberKnife of New York is a program of John T. Mather Memorial Hospital and North Shore Hematology Oncology Associates (NSHOA).
