John T. Mather Memorial Hospital will hold its Winter Blood Drive on Monday, March 6 from 6:30 am until 6:30 pm in Conference Rooms 3, 4, and 5. The blood drive is open to all community residents.

No appointment is necessary to donate blood. Free valet parking is available for community donors at the main hospital entrance. All successful donors will receive gift cards and a gift bag as a thank you for donating.

Blood donors are especially needed now because recent ice and snow storms in the northeast has caused the cancelation of many local blood drives. A unit of donated blood can be separated into individual components to save multiple lives. Blood donors help meet the daily transfusion needs of cancer and surgery patients, accident and burn victims, newborns and mothers delivering babies, AIDS and sickle cell anemia patients, and many more.
