PORT JEFFERSON, NY ― Mather Hospital colorectal surgeon David Schwartzberg, MD, will be honored by the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation Long Island Chapter’s Take Steps Walk, which takes place Sunday, June 6, 2021, from 12-2pm at RXR Executive Park in Melville.

 

“I am honored to be the medical honoree for this year’s Take Steps event from the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation,” Dr. Schwartzberg said. “I accept this award on behalf of my partners, Dr. Ramona Rajapakse, my office staff and the nurses who help care for our patients at Mather Hospital.”

 

Dr. Schwartzberg serves on the Executive Council for the Take Steps Walk Program and sits on the Chapter Medical Advisory Committee for the Long Island Chapter. He practices with Mather Colon and Rectal Surgery, a practice of Harbor View Medical Services. This is the second year he has participated as a fundraiser for the walk with Mather Hospital as a sponsor.
