Northwell’s Mather Hospital is pleased to announce a special hands-on teaching kitchen event designed to empower cancer patients and their caregivers with practical cooking skills and nourishing recipes that support health, healing and overall well-being. The event will take place on Thursday, June 25, 2026, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. in Mather Hospital’s Conference Rooms A & B. Complimentary valet parking is available for all attendees.
For those on a cancer journey, food is a powerful source of strength and comfort. This interactive program provides participants with the opportunity to learn how to prepare meals that not only nourish the body but also bring joy to the plate.
Led by Mather’s registered dietitians and chefs, the teaching kitchen session will offer hands-on instruction in preparing practical, easy-to-replicate recipes tailored to the unique nutritional needs of those affected by cancer. The event is open to patients currently undergoing treatment, the dedicated caregivers who support them, or those who are looking to implement cancer prevention lifestyle strategies.
Participants will leave the event with recipes, practical tips and a renewed sense of empowerment in the kitchen.
