Northwell’s Mather Hospital has achieved national recognition for excellence in neurological and orthopedic care, according to Newsweek’s 2026 America’s Best Hospitals for Specialized Care list. This significant distinction places Mather Hospital among seven Northwell Health facilities honored for specialized adult care across 29 specialties.

Newsweek, in collaboration with Statista, conducted a rigorous evaluation, ranking the top 300 hospitals in each category based on quality metrics, patient experience surveys, employee feedback and data from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the American Hospital Association.
