Do you have pre-diabetes? Are you newly diagnosed with diabetes? John T. Mather Memorial Hospital will offer a FREE six-week course on Diabetes Management and Prevention beginning Saturday, May 13.

The classes, which will be led by Diabetes Nurse Educator Elizabeth Giordano, MA, RN, CCRN, and include various related specialists, will be held at the hospital from 10-11 am on six consecutive Saturdays from May 13 to June 17. Registration is required. Call 631-686-7879.

The topics for the six classes are Diabetes 101; Knowing Your Numbers; Nutrition and Exercise; Introduction to Diabetes Medications; Glucose Monitoring: Why is it so important?; and Reducing Risks.
