PORT JEFFERSON, NY – Christine Amoroso, RN, BS, MS, has been appointed as Mather Hospital’s vice president for quality, a new position.

Amoroso previously was director of quality management for Southside Hospital in Bay Shore. Before joining Southside in 2013, she served as assistant director of corporate quality for Northwell Health.

Amoroso received her master’s degree in Health Care Policy and Management from Stony Brook University and completed a long term care fellowship at the Long Island State Veterans Home in Stony Brook. She received her bachelor of science degree in nursing from Molloy College, Rockville Centre and also received a New York State advanced certificate in health care policy and management.

Amoroso volunteers with Support the Kid for Cancer and the food pantry at St. Patrick’s RC Church, Smithtown. She lives in Smithtown with her husband and daughter.
