Funds raised from the Walk support Mather Hospital’s Fortunato Breast Health Center, a recognized leader in the fight against breast cancer. Your donation helps us:
- Provide advanced screenings to detect cancer in its earliest, most treatable stages.
- Ensure that breast images are interpreted exclusively by dedicated breast radiologists—experts in their field.
- Screen thousands of women each year and expand access through the Cancer Services Program of Suffolk County, which offers free cancer screenings, diagnostic testing, and treatment plans for individuals diagnosed with breast, cervical, and colorectal cancers who lack adequate health insurance.
- Guide patients through next steps after a diagnosis—our nurse navigators assist with securing appointments and connecting to support programs.
