The core didactic program is conducted daily in the dedicated radiology conference room at Mather Hospital and repeats every two years. Core faculty are responsible for giving the presentations.

There is a didactic component for each of the nine subspecialty areas, including the heart and coronary arteries. Anatomy, physiology, disease processes and imaging are included for all age groups.

Two physics lectures will be given each month by a medical physicist.  Residents will also receive a weeklong intensive physics course prior to taking their core exam.

Residents attend a minimum of 6 hours of required intra- and inter-departmental conferences/lectures per week, including:
