Dr. Chau earned his medical degree at New York Medical College, Valhalla, New York in 2004. He completed his residency at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, NY and his internship at Yale New Haven Hospital, CT.

Prior to joining Mather Hospital, Dr. Bashir was a hospitalist at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Lauderdale, Tennessee, where he was also appointed chief of staff in 2007.

Dr. Chau has extensive clinical research experience and has participated in research projects at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, NY, Westchester Medical Center, Valhalla, NY. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.

Dr. Mobin Aslam Sadiq earned his medical degree at King Edward Medical College in Pakistan, where he was awarded a merit scholarship every year. He interned and served as a Medical Officer in two hospitals in Pakistan before arriving in America in 1998. Dr. Sadiq completed his internship and residency at Harlem Hospital Center. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.

Prior to joining Mather, Dr. Sadiq served as a full-time Hospitalist at Brookhaven Memorial Hospital for three years. Previously he was in private practice as a primary care physician in Plattsburgh, New York.

Dr. Gorbatsevitch trained for three years in internal medicine at Brookdale University Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. He earned his medical degree at Vitebsk Medical Institute, Vitebsk, Belarus. He completed his post-graduate training in internal medicine and a pulmonary medicine fellowship at Thoracic Hospital, Kiev, Ukraine, before immigrating to the United States in 1998.

Prior to joining Mather Hospital, he practiced as a Hospitalist at the University Center in Las Vegas, NV.

Dr. Ravuri earned her medical degree at Siddhartha Medical College, Vijayawada, India, in 1998. She completed her residency in 2005 at St. Barnabas Hospital, New York. Before joining Mather?s Hospitalist team, Dr. Ravuri was a Hospitalist at Day Kimball Hospital, Putnam, Connecticut, where she provided care for ICU patients while working closely with primary care physicians and specialists.

Dr. Ravuri is a member of the American Medical Association and the American College of Physicians. Dr. Ravuri is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.

Dr. Sarij earned her undergraduate degree from Barnard College at Columbia University and went on to earn her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica, West Indies. She continued her post-graduate work as an Intern and a Resident in Internal Medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine and is certified in Palliative Care Medicine.

Dr. Sarij has an established background in hospitalist practice; effectively improving the quality of patient care as an instrumental part of the development of a Hospitalist program at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York.

Dr. Sokol earned his medical degree at SUNY, Stony Brook, where he also completed his Ph.D. in biochemistry. His internship and residency were completed at Nassau County Medical Center.

Prior to joining Mather Hospital, Dr. Sokol served as director and chairman in several capacities at Nassau University Medical Center including the internal medicine clinic, quality management, regulatory affairs and ambulatory services. At SUNY, Stony Brook, Dr. Sokol directed courses in acute care, chronic renal failure and biostatistics. During his tenure at Nassau University Medical Center, his accomplishments include the expansion of the Center?s ?Ground Zero? project for police and firefighters exposed to toxins.

Dr. Sokol is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, a certified Medical Review officer (AAMRO) and diplomate in geriatric medicine. With his accomplished career, Dr. Sokol?s primary interest remains with direct patient care and, therefore, has chosen to continue serving his community practicing Hospital Medicine at Mather.

Dr. Chao earned his medical degree from the State University of New York at Syracuse College of Medicine. A biomedical engineering graduate of Columbia University, Dr. Chao went on to work as a Research Assistant at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

He completed both his Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine at Staten Island University Hospital. Dr. Chao is a member of the American Medical Association and the American College of Physicians. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.

Dr. Trehan received his medical degree in 1999 from the Government Medical College of Patiala in India. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Flushing Hospital Medical Center. Dr. Trehan also completed an Infectious Disease fellowship at the State University of New York at Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn.

Prior to joining Mather, Dr. Trehan was a hospitalist at Albany Memorial Hospital and Brookhaven Memorial Hospital. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Disease.

Dr. Masry received his medical degree from the American University of Beirut, in Lebanon, in 1995. He completed his internship at the American University of Beirut and residency at SUNY Health Science Center in Brooklyn, NY. He also completed a geriatric fellowship at North Shore-LIJ Health System in New Hyde Park.

Prior to joining Mather, Dr. Masry was a hospitalist at Bon Secours Community Hospital in Port Jervis, NY. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.

Specializing in Internal Medicine, Dr. Muhammed Omer Bashir earned his medical degree from the Aga Khan University Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan in 1998 and completed his internship and residency at the State University of New York, Buffalo.

Prior to joining Mather Hospital, Dr. Bashir was a hospitalist at Baptist Memorial Hospital, Lauderdale, Tennessee, where he was also appointed chief of staff in 2007.

Dr. Raza is one of the founding members of Mather?s Hospitalist Program since 2005. He has received numerous Service Excellence Awards while at Mather and was promoted to Associate Director in January 2007. He was then promoted to the role of Director of Hospital Medicine in March of 2008.

Dr. Raza completed his Residency training at Maryland General Hospital in 2005, where he was Chief Resident in the Department of Internal Medicine. Dr. Raza earned his undergraduate degree from St. John?s University and went on to earn his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine in Dominica, West Indies.

He is an active member of the American College of Physicians and the Society of Hospital Medicine. Dr. Raza is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
