Mental Health Clinic
Mather Hospital’s Mental Health Clinic serves adults and adolescents with mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, bi-polar disorder, personality disorder, trauma, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), interpersonal conflicts and childhood disorders.
Each patient receives an individualized treatment plan with a clinician to address and attain goals that enhance their lives and help them toward recovery. The clinic provides:
- Individual counseling
- Family counseling
- Group counseling
- Psychological evaluations
- Medication management
Care is provided by the clinic’s psychiatrist, nurse practitioners and licensed social workers and is coordinated with outside agencies.
Referrals to the clinic come from Mather Hospital and other hospitals, as well as from self-referrals. The clinic accepts Medicaid, most managed Medicaid plans and most commercial insurances.
The Mental Health Clinic provides services Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 9 am-5 pm, and Wednesday, 9 am-8 pm.
The clinic is located at 125 Oakland Ave., Suite 303, Port Jefferson, across the street from Mather Hospital.
