Mather Hospital’s Total Joint Replacement Program is known for its quality of care, clinical expertise, compassionate treatment and exceptional patient service. Our experienced orthopedic staff uses state-of the-art operating suites. Computer-navigated systems assist in minimally invasive knee replacements by ensuring the highest level of precision and the best possible outcomes. The program also offers pre-operative education, including free community seminars for anyone considering knee or hip replacement.
Total replacement of the knee or hip allows people who cannot get relief from non-operative treatments to move past the pain that plagues them and reclaim their lives. Our goal is to improve your quality of life by reducing pain and increasing motion and function, removing any assistive devices and allowing you to return to work, sports and the activities of daily living. More and more, patients are turning to Mather Hospital, where a comprehensive program provides them with everything they need to achieve a successful outcome.
Driven by the goal of successful and timely patient recovery, our program includes a Post Anesthesia Care Unit, a dedicated Orthopedic Nursing Unit and a personalized program of physical therapy. Based on your physician’s and physical therapist’s recommendations, and insurance authorization, you may be discharged to acute rehabilitation (at St. Charles or Southside Hospital), to sub-acute rehabilitation in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center, or home with home physical therapy or outpatient physical therapy.
Our commitment to patient safety has led to Mather Hospital's recognition for the second consecutive year as a top hospital on the 2010 New York State Hospital Report Card. Mather was listed on the Honor Roll in two individual categories by the Niagara Health Quality Coalition (NHQC) and the hospital was also recognized by the Long Island Health Network with a Patient Satisfaction Award.
Our team will work with you to verify your insurance eligibility and benefits.
